Originally, Ed and Ruth Shepler were looking for a space for their three cats. “We needed a place for Edwina, Paulina and Two Face,” Ruth explains. “My husband and I struggled over the decision for quite awhile, but now we are glad we opted for a sunroom.”

Overlooking a mountain vista near Sedona in north-central Arizona, their sunroom is comprised of a half-log, knotty pine interior with a sitting area and a living room.

“We eat out there every day,” continues Ruth. “In fact, when we first moved into our home, we hosted our family Christmas, and everyone spent most of their time in the sunroom.”
